Now you know why the status of women in the cowbelt (not that it is much different elsewhere) is what it is. Now you know why there will be many more Nirbhayas before women in our country get to equality with our men.
Now you know why deifying Indian women as Kali, Durga, Shakti, Bhavani, Saraswati, et al are great ways to hide the truth from them. Now you know why Ram will eat kheer for decades, while Sita is told to work, Geeta is told to bring food for dad, and Meena is told to help mother. Now you know why our education perpetuates slavery of women in our land.
